Growth in Action Small Business Grants provide eligible organizations the opportunity to access up to $5,000 in funds to help grow their business or community during this uncertain time. In addition to the financial benefit of the grant, recipients will be invited to join round table discussions of best practices with the bank's team of subject matter experts in areas ranging from investments to human resources to marketing.Who We Are. Growth in Action Grant Guidelines

Penn Community Bank is working to meet the needs of our customers and communities as they work to bridge the gap between the pandemic and what comes next. Please read this information carefully. It will assist you in determining if you meet our eligibility requirements and will help with the preparation of your application.

Application Details

All interested businesses or organizations must complete the application by November 2, 2020. Applications include applicant information, organizational details, and an essay. Each applicant will be notified of the grant decision by mid-November 2020. The grant award decision will be made by committee of Penn Community Bank team members based on the applicant's response to the essay prompt: How would you use this grant to help sustain and grow your business, improve your local economy and positively impact your neighborhood and community?

Grant Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be located and operate primarily in Bucks, Montgomery or their surrounding counties within Pennsylvania
  • Organized or incorporated as any of the following: sole proprietorship, corporation, non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, limited liability company, or partnership
  • In operation for at least two years prior to application, and currently operating
  • Annual revenues of less than $750,000, or fewer than fifty employees
Who Is Not Eligible?

Growth in Action Grants are not available for:

  • Organizations not meeting the Grant Eligibility Criteria above
  • Private foundations
  • Individuals
  • Golf tournaments, athletic events, leagues or team sponsorships
  • Religious, political or fraternal organizations
  • School-affiliated orchestra, band, choir, student trips, or tours
  • Fundraising activities, galas, luncheons/dinners, or advertising sponsorships
  • Conferences, workshops, exhibits, surveys, or consumer interest groups
  • Endowments, capital, or building campaigns
  • Organizations that collect funds for redistribution to other nonprofit groups
  • Agencies, projects, or programs primarily financed by government sources
