Terrain Opens Café, Retail and Event Space at Delaware Valley University
Urban Outfitters’ Terrain has made its way to Doylestown, located on Delaware Valley University’s campus in the former Market at DelVal building. This is the third Terrain location to open in Pennsylvania. The official opening day was June 29th.
Amenities at Terrain at DelVal include a retail store, nursery, garden cafe, and private event space. Design by Terrain team members provide assistance for those who need gardening advice or help with floral and interior design.
The Terrain store offers an assortment of home and garden products, including all-weather furniture, seasonal décor, outdoor lighting, and artisan-made gifts. The cafe’s menu is seasonally updated to include hand-picked local produce. DelVal’s farms are expected to play a significant role in what comes through the kitchen.
The private event space at Terrain at DelVal holds up to 162 people with more than 100 weddings and events booked before opening day.
Terrain will include DelVal and its students in many ways. There will be a pop-up DelVal farm stand every Saturday with produce for sale that comes from DelVal’s farms. Students will be hired in the nursery, kitchen and store. The partnership between Terrain and DelVal includes paid student internships, student employment and other career opportunities for DelVal students.
The entire experience of Terrain will change seasonally, from decor to menus. In the fall, activities such as “Pick Your Own” will occur on the university farms. Customers will have the opportunity to pick pumpkins, peaches and apples grown by students.
