New Manufacturing Plant in Warminster, PA Makes Veggies Taste Like Cake

Farm&Oven Snacks opened a 10,000 square foot commercial Bucks County baking facility in September of 2018. This innovative addition to the snack world bakes up mini brownies and muffins that provide you with 40% of your daily vegetable requirements in each on-the-go pack with only 150-180 calories per serving. Not only do they provide 2 full servings of non-GMO veggies, but they also contain probiotics (1 billion of them!) and prebiotics.

BCEDC Holds its 61st Annual Dinner and Reorganization Meeting in April

The event was held at Spring Mill Manor, Ivyland, on April 11, 2019. Attendees gathered to get reacquainted with old colleagues, meet new ones and to hear Ryo Tashiro, Regional Economic Advisor, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia speak about the current economic environment and future economic outlook for Bucks County and the surrounding area.

Past Board BCEDC Board of Director Passes Away

Harry J. Barford, Jr. passed away peacefully on April 30th surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer for six years. He was 76 years old.

BCEDC has Added Three New Directors to its Board

Christopher Sullivan

Christopher Sullivan is a Tax Director at Kreischer Miller, a leading independent accounting firm serving the Greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley Regions. Chris has devoted over 20 years of his life providing accounting, tax and business advisory services to growth-oriented middle market and private companies in a variety of industries. 

Chris graduated from Holy Family University with a degree in accounting. He went on to pursue his CPA and a master’s degree in taxation from Jefferson University (formerly Philadelphia University). Chris lives in Lower Makefield with his wife, son and daughter. 

He is excited to utilize his years of experience to further the mission of the BCEDC and help companies in his hometown.

BCEDC’s Board of Director’s approved the first Diverse Business Finance Intuitive (DBFI) Loan for Affinity Land Services, Newtown, PA. Affinity Land Services has borrowed $75,000 to assist with a building purchase and renovations. The total project cost of $759,000. Provident Bank Expands their Commercial Lending Team

Provident Bank recently expanded its commercial lending team in the Philadelphia Metro Market with the addition of two Relationship Mangers. Chris Smith and Brian Snyder will be responsible for growing the commercial loan portfolio in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties by offering a variety of commercial products, including lines of credit, equipment loans, and real estate mortgages to businesses and real estate investors.  In addition, they will work closely with accounting firms, law firms, intermediaries, and trade associations to source new business.
