Solar For Your Business - As Lucrative as They Say??
Have you thought about solar for your business? If not, you might be missing out on an unprecedented investment opportunity. Because of the incentives in place for solar, including government subsidies and no cost 100% financing, you can acquire a solar system today with no out of pocket costs and wind up with serious money in your pocket after just one year. How much money? Hundreds of thousands of dollars. Sound too good to be true? Let’s break down an example:
If you were to install a 200kW solar system (requiring roughly 10,000 sq/ft of roof) it will produce 250,000kWh per year. At a $0.12/kWh utility rate (many businesses pay much higher than this) you would save roughly $30k + per year by not paying the utility for the electricity produced by the system. On top of that, the 30% tax credit and bonus depreciation for solar would be worth another $260k. Then you have the energy credits you would generate which would sell for another $10k + per year. For those keeping track we’re up to $300k in year one. But what about the cost of the system you might ask? Well, if you finance it through our financing partner, 100% of the cost will be covered by the loan, no personal guarantees required - the only collateral on the loan is the system itself. For this system, your annual loan payments would be roughly $30k. So year one you walk away with $270k in your pocket. Each year thereafter, the savings from the system will exceed the loan payment by roughly $10k. It’s as close as it gets to free money. All that just by having some solar panels installed on your roof.
