DCED annouces PIDA Rates for 3rd Quarter

The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) announced interest rates for economic development loans to businesses. The PIDA program offers low-interest loans to eligible businesses that commit to creating and retaining full-time jobs. Right now, PIDA's interest rates  are 3.00% for real estate and 3.00% for equipment financing for any PIDA borrower whose loan application is received on or before September 30 2019. PBGW Hosts BCEDC Presentation

On Thursday, June 20, 2019, Bob Cormack, BCEDC Executive Director and Jim Pawlikowski, Loan Manager presented information about BCEDC's Loan programs and Tax Credits to Pritchard, Bieler, Gruver & Willison P.C. accountants at their location in Colmar, PA.  PBGW accountants were given tools to better advise their clients about growing and utilizing tax credits to raise cash for their business. Who knew manufacturing could be so cool?

Thanks to DVIRC's "What's So Cool About Manufacturing?" Contest, hundreds of students from Philadelphia area middle schools now know! On April 8th, 2019, students, parents, educators, manufacturing leaders, community sponsors, local legislators, and project partners gathered at the Oaks Convention Center for an awards ceremony where students received awards for the best student-developed videos exploring manufacturing in the Philadelphia region. Past BCEDC Board of Director passed away on April 30th.

Harry J. Barford, Jr. passed away peacefully on April 30th surrounded by his family after a long and brave battle with cancer for six years. He was 76 years old. Harry was a man of many talents and successes. He founded Carrol Engineering where he served as President and Chairman until retirement where he remained as Chairman Emertius. He worked tirelessly to build one of the most successful engineering firms in the tri-state area. He was a philanthropist where he served on many on numerous boards such as Bucks County Economic Development Corporation, Bucks County International Trade Council which founded.
