A Tribute to Dr. Kathleen Dominick, Immediate Past President

The BCEDC staff and I would like to thank Dr. Dominick for her support and guidance as the President of BCEDC. Her insight, leadership, stewardship, integrity, and commitment to quality have made our commitment stronger to strive for excellence in all facets of the organization; to make BCEDC the very best that it could be. Dr. Dominick’s sense of pride would push the staff from every aspect of BCEDC from marketing to strategic planning. She always stressed the need to put the client first at all costs and how to make the economic development programs work on their behalf but never compromising the organizations integrity.

Dr. Kathe DominickAs a transformational leader, we at BCEDC have been given opportunities to learn from her experiences and knowledge of the business community; to say, It has been a learning experience is an understatement. We want to thank Dr. Dominick for outstanding leadership over the past four years and are looking forward to her guidance for many more years to come as a member of the BCEDC Board of Directors. — Bob Cormack, Executive Director.

I have known and worked with Kathe since her days with the telephone company and she has always been an amazingly talented woman. Whenever she has been delegated responsibility for a task to be accomplished you can consider it done. Kathe has always offered the type of leadership we hear so much of these days. She truly leads from the front. In my 49 years of association with BCIDC, now BCEDC, there have been only three Presidents to face the potential political consequences of challenging county V.I.P.’s when they believed the mission, or even the very existence of BCIDC, was in jeopardy. John Knoll, now deceased, and Clair Raubenstine also had the instinct for anticipating trouble. They too, didn’t hesitate to define the problem and execute an agreed-upon plan of action.

BCEDC has been fortunate in having Kathe as President. Her previous employment in county governance and as chairman of the NAWC Economic Adjustment Committee has proven invaluable to the corporation in dealing with problems arising out of the decision by the Bucks County Industrial Development Authority to cancel its agency agreement with BCEDC. If I know Kathe, she will not stand down until all problems arising from the cancelled agreement are resolved.

Bucks County as well as BCEDC have benefited greatly from her leadership and commitment as President of BCEDC. — Carl Wallnau-Member at Large

During her tenure, Kathe focused on the key issues at hand and guided BCEDC in pursuit of excellence. It was reassuring to be a Board Member with Kathe at the helm. — Robert Steinhart, Member at Large.

While I have only been on the board a short time, it didn’t take long to notice that you have had a tremendous impact on the organization and the county during your tenure as chairperson. Thanks for your dedication and commitment. — Lynnie Seigle, Board of Director

A classy lady that I wish I had had the opportunity to work with more closely. Professional and astute in all her dealings. Kathe will be greatly missed by those fortunate enough to have worked alongside her. — Trish Markel-Mullen, Board of Director.

I really did not know Kathe that well since I am a new board member, but she did go out of her way to make me comfortable and I found her easy to talk with right away. I found her to be very professional and straight forward. She calls a spade, a spade which is what I like in people. —Kevin O’Donnell, Board of Director

I really appreciated Kathe’s work as Board President. I felt we really shaped up due to her efforts and experience. I would simply say thank you Kathe for your professional and competent leadership as our Board President. — Dick Millham, Board of Directors

Although I still feel like I’m new to the BCEDC, it has been a pleasure working with Kathe. She is a strong leader and holds fast to very high standards. The incoming president has big shoes to fill. — Karen Lasorda, Board of Director

Dr. Dominick has been a tremendous asset to the BCEDC during her recent term as President. She has guided the organization with patience and professional competence and worked tirelessly for the cause of economic development in Bucks County. She has introduced new ideas and processes to the Corporation and presided over the organization during one of the most difficult economic time frames in modern history. We have been truly fortunate to have had her leadership and experience to rely on for the past several years. — James Bleakly, Board President.

Thank you to Kathe for her dedicated service, she was an excellent Board President with her depth of knowledge and attention to detail. She always led us in a professional and well thought out manner. Many thanks. — Greg Krug, Board of Director.
